If you are reading this, you are likely someone either interested in, or at some stage in their career in mental health or social work. So to start off, CONGRATS! You are already a badass and you have chosen a diverse and profoundly meaningful career. You will impact more lives than you know. We’re excited to accompany you on this journey and share with you useful advice and tips, general knowledge, resources, and some of our own personal stories and insight as we also navigate this challenging career path.
So who are we?
We are two best friends with ten combined years of exposure to the field. We have navigated undergrad, grad school, internships, and more with each others’ support. We have leaned on each other during challenging moments and celebrated together in moments of victory. If there is one thing we have learned along this journey, it’s that we are better together! With support from our peers, we cultivate creativity and learning, we guide each other through challenges, and we encourage each other to be the very best we can be. Our own mental health is important too. Having a network of professionals that can be relied upon for support and guidance is imperative in caring for our own mental health, and allowing us the sound mind to continue to care for our clients to the highest of standards.

Our goal
is to build this sense of community and be a platform to learn from and support one another. The hurdles we have to overcome in order to meet our career goals are unavoidable, but in sharing our own advice and shortcuts, perhaps they will be less overwhelming. We’ll be raw, honest, and vulnerable and we promise to allow you the space to do the same. Cheers to this wild journey! Now go out and change some lives, superhero!
